Conrad Statement on the Passing of
Three Dickinson State University Students
An Unspeakable Tragedy for Families, University and the State, Senator says
Washington – Senator Kent Conrad released the following statement today in response to the news of the passing of three Dickinson State University students in an apparent automobile accident.
“Lucy and I were deeply saddened by the news that three of our students passed away in this terrible accident. Any loss of life is sad, but that grief is heightened when anyone is taken so early in life.
“While Kyrstin, Ashley and Afton were not originally from North Dakota, we have embraced them as part of our North Dakota family. We all share in the sadness felt by their family and friends today.
“We greatly appreciate the efforts by the university and all those who contributed to the search. We can only hope that our collective loss will bring those in and around Dickinson closer together.”
